Title: EFOSA: A Performance Management Tool
DESCRIPTION OF PRESENTATION:
Our primary job as supervisors is to help our people be successful through identifying and correcting performance issues when needed.
EFOSA is a philosophy for performance management and documentation. An acronym: it stands for Expectations, Facts, Objectives, Solutions and Actions.
This strategy does not need to replace your current progressive discipline process. Instead, it provides structure, depth and accountability to the process. It also gives supervisors a method for communicating performance goals/deficiencies to employees on a regular basis outside of the progressive discipline arena.In fact, the goal of EFOSA is to minimize the need for the progressive discipline, all the while preparing the company to defend its progressive discipline decisions if, and when necessary.
About Summer:
Summer is the Assistant City Manager for South Ogden City. Prior to her appointment in July, she served as the Assistant City Manager, Administrative Services Director and the Human Resource Manager for Clearfield City for fourteen years.
Summer is a SHRM-SCP and SPHR certified Human Resource Professional with 25 years of Human Resource Management experience in both the private and public sector. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management and a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from Weber State University.
Summer enjoys watching movies, traveling, running and spending time with Corey, her husband and her three busy boys.
