Topic: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Fundamentals
Summary: This interactive training addresses how to speak about diversity in a way that is precise, empathic, and appropriately focused. It is designed to help people understand how their identity impacts the way they navigate the world, their job, and how to create an open mind to see outside of their own experience. This workshop covers why DEI is important not only to humanity in general but for the workplace professionally. This training will be customized to with case studies designed for leadership and HR professionals so attendees can leave with experience of the practical application of the tools they will learn.
BIO: Sheree Haggan is a queer woman of color who specializes in cultural innovation for communities and businesses. She currently works as a Senior Diversity Business Partner at Wayfair. She recently ended a 6 year career at Google as a Diversity Program Manager, where she is responsible for inclusion through scaling Employee Resource Groups globally and streamlining Diversity Councils. She has worked across multiple industries as a consultant; restructuring staffing, marketing, and leadership frameworks to be more inclusive and allow for representation and inclusion of communities that have historically been marginalized.
