Title: Switch, How to Change When Change is Hard
Summary: Whenever you implement “Change” you’re going to have this schizophrenic battle within yourself. A tension arises: the rational brain knows what is necessary, but the emotional brain doesn’t want to do the hard work. During this presentation Jamie will show how everyday people – employees, managers, and leaders can shed new light on how we can effect transformative change.
Bio: Jamie Andrus is the President and CEO of the Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce
Jamie is responsible for supporting business growth and economic development for Cache Valley. The Chamber CEO advocates for legislative issues, supports, and leads and encourages individual and business creativity, innovation and inventiveness. As President of the Chamber, she consults for businesses and provides networking and educational events for its members. The Cache Valley Chamber currently has 575 members and offers many growth and promotion opportunities to its members to include Cache Valley Economic Development Alliance (CVEDA), Northern Utah Manufacturing Group, and the Legislative Affairs Committee. Andrus leads a large Board of Directors, Board of Governors, and Chamber Ambassadors. Before leading the Chamber, Jamie held two professional positions at USU. She has been active in SHRM for many years and is always happy to be part of this great group of HR professionals.
